"What if no one subscribes?"

Nice, France

Have you felt the email fear?

The voice in your head that told you that an email list wouldn’t work for you or your podcast, because who would join it?

If this is you, stop chasing social media views and likes. They’re not going to get you the meaningful engagement and return on investment that you’re craving.

Only email can do that for you because with email, you connect with your audience directly. No algorithm or cutesy dancing video between you.

That’s a hell of an opportunity to pass up on just because you’re worried that not enough people will subscribe to your emails.

If you’re still letting fear do the talking, I’m going to give you ideas on how to get your podcast subscribers to join your email list.

Try the one that appeals to you the most:

  • Make email your main communication channel. Tell your subscribers that podcast information (live shows, special guest announcements) goes out on your email list first

  • Craft a 30-second pitch for your email list. It’s not enough to tell your listeners, “Yay, I have email now!”. Tell them why your emails are the ones they need to read

  • Offer an incentive for joining your email list, like a link to an exclusive bonus episode

  • Make your email content about 33% different from your podcast content. You want the emails to be familiar enough that your audience associates them with your podcast, but different enough that they’re worth reading even if they just listened to your latest episode.

If the one thing stopping you from launching your podcast email list was the fear that no-one would join it, it’s time to let that fear go.

Start building the business you want tomorrow, today. The business where you own your audience relationship and can have real conversations that lead to real revenue.

And if these list growth ideas add too much to your plate, book a call with me. We’ll discuss how I can build and grow your email list so you’ve got more time to podcast.

Say goodbye to those email fears,
