What are you doing if you’re not writing?

Roquebrune-Cap-Martin

I was reading Stephen King's On Writing the other day and a question he asked made me think of you.

"What are you doing if you're not writing?"

On Writing is part autobiography, part style guide, part self-help, part how-to on the art of putting your fingers to the keyboard and letting the words flow.

Because rain or shine, work day or weekend, Stephen never stops writing.

And that’s the approach you need when it comes to emailing your audience.

The truth is that you're busy, inside the office and out of it, and that gives plenty of easy opportunities to avoid writing, even if writing is what's most important.

Think about it:

You have a podcast and you created a community around it.

That community is what sustains your business.

And writing is what sustains that community.

If you're not emailing your audience to explain your offers or give a last push for ticket sales to your live show, what's taking priority?

After all, email gives the best ROI of all kinds of marketing, which is too big an opportunity to miss.

If you're finding yourself too busy to send emails or it's a task that you find too easy to put off, that's a sign that you're getting ready to pass it on to someone else.

If that's the case for you, book a Connection Call with me.

We'll talk about how to keep your community alive and thriving with a harmonious calendar of podcast episodes and purposeful emails that sell your services to your ideal audience.

Because reaching out to your audience shouldn't be pushed down your to-do list again.

Keep talking,
