My friend told me that one of the great things about living in Nice is that you get to live in two cities: winter Nice and summer Nice.
Winter Nice is like any other city, if you count a sparkling, clear sky, mild temperatures and stunning sunsets as normal. It’s quiet, meditative, colourful, an escape from the drizzle and grey.
Summer Nice is loud, busy, fast, full of events and moments you want to hold onto before they slip through your fingers in September. It’s alive all day and all night. It’s a way of life.
And while the tourists are here, stretching out on the pebble beaches, browsing through the artisanal markets and uncorking that second bottle of rosé, they’re not listening to your podcast.
The summer podcast slowdown is real. Many creators experience a dip in listens and downloads over July and August because listeners aren’t living their normal lives.
Usually, they’d listen to your podcast whilst they’re commuting, on the school run, cleaning the house or cooking their meals. But six to eight weeks of summer living breaks their habits.
Which is fine, unless your business marketing strategy depends on your podcast. In that case, the summer slump is a major issue for your business, because summer’s not going away any time soon.
This is why you need an email strategy that works with your podcast, reaching your listeners whether they’re at home or trying to find a comfy spot on a rocky shoreline. Your emails keep your business revenue afloat, all year round.
When you have your podcast and your emails talking to your audience, you don’t need to think about always reaching a new crowd or creating a new offer, because you’re making sales from the people who already love to tune into you. They just didn’t know enough to commit to you yet.
And with a great strategy behind you, you don’t even need to be at your desk to hit send on those emails. That means you get more time away from your business to rest, relax, be with your family and friends and do what you love most.
And when you’re back at work, you’ll have more time to spend with your clients because you’re not worried about where your next client is coming from. They’re already in your list.
Emails help you make the sales you want and build the community you always dreamed of. And you know what doesn’t evaporate in summer? Your audience's deep need to connect and to be understood.
Your emails fulfil that need.
If you’re in a summer slump and want to turn it around before the season’s over, book a free Connection Call with me.
In it, we’ll discuss your business, your podcast, your offer and how to stop missing those sales you could be making.
If you want your summers to be less office days and more golden coastal sunrays, get that call in the diary. Don’t let this summer slip away from you.
Looking forward to talking with you,
